America's Cup 2007

2007 is a special year in the yachting calendar as the Louis Vuitton and America's Cup racing is taking place in Valencia (just a a few miles north of Denia). This event is now over and we are  delivering our day charters from Denia. I've left our Americas Cup website up (use this  link ) as it is capturing upto date related information  and also provides information on hotels, their locations and links which you might find useful.

Charters from Denia

 We offer day and two day/weekend sailing.  Longer activities can be arranged with sufficient notice.

Typically a sailing day will start at about 10:00am with tea,  coffee,  biscuits on board.  We will run through a safety briefing before leaving the marina;  this includes ensuring that everyone is correctly fitted with life jackets,  an understanding of where the safety equipment is located and it's operation,  e.g how to operate the radio in the unlikely event of an emergency,  and then outline the day(s) ahead. We will aim to set sail at about 10:45am and having departed Marina de Denia sail through the morning until we stop for luncheon.

A typical one day sailing event

After anchoring in a bay you can take a dip

• Rendezvous in Marina de Denia for 10:00am
  
• Welcome aboard, introductions, and safety brief
• Depart Marina de Denia between 10.45 and 11.00
• Sail south towards Javea
• Anchor off in one of the picturesque bays for luncheon,  swimming,  fishing,  sunbathing (or any other activities you might prefer)
• Sail back to Marina de Denia,  arriving between 17.30 and 18.30
• Onboard review of the day, with snacks and a drink(s) of your choice
• Guests depart at their own leisure

A typical two-day sailing event

Day 1

• Rendezvous in Marina de Denia for  10.00am
• Welcome aboard, introductions, and safety briefing
• Depart Marina de Denia between 10.45 and 11.00
• Sail south towards Javea
• Anchor off in one of the picturesque bays for luncheon,  swimming,  fishing,  sunbathing, (or any other activities you might prefer)
• Up anchor and continue south towards Moraira and Calpe
• Either anchor off in a bay taking supper on board or go ashore in the dinghy. Alternatively take a marina berth for the night and go ashore for more relaxation.

Day 2

• Depart the anchorage/marina and head north towards Denia
• Anchor off in a different bay for lunch
• Sail back to Marina de Denia,  arriving between 17.30 and 18.30
• Onboard review of the day, with snacks  and a drink(s) of your choice
• Guests depart at their own leisure
